Apollo.io launched the beta of its app inside ChatGPT on 29 April 2026. Sales teams can now search for prospects, enrich contact records with verified emails and phone numbers, and enrol people into outreach sequences without ever leaving the chat window.
The integration runs on Apollo's Model Context Protocol server. There are no special commands or prompt templates. You describe what you want in plain English and ChatGPT uses your Apollo account to execute the action. Search for companies matching your ICP, pull contact details, update records, build lists and trigger sequences from a single conversation thread.
Setup takes about thirty seconds. Open ChatGPT, go to Apps, search for Apollo.io, authorise and you are connected. The integration is user-level, not admin-level. Each rep connects their own account.
This matters because it collapses the SDR workflow from five browser tabs and three platforms into one conversation. The old loop was: open Apollo, search, export to CSV, import to CRM, build sequence in outreach tool, send. The new loop is: tell ChatGPT what you want and it does all of it.

Apollo is not the only one moving this direction. The company also launched an MCP server that works across Claude, ChatGPT and Perplexity, covering the full outbound GTM loop from a single AI conversation. The pattern is clear. Sales tools are becoming features inside AI assistants, not standalone products.
Why it matters
This is not a productivity hack. It is a distribution shift. When prospecting happens inside ChatGPT, the AI assistant becomes the primary interface for revenue teams. CRM, enrichment and sequencing tools become background infrastructure. The brands that own the AI integration layer will own the workflow.
For Australian businesses running outbound sales, the question is not whether to adopt AI-assisted prospecting. It is which AI conversation layer your team will live inside.
What to do about it
If your team uses Apollo, connect the ChatGPT app this week and run a side-by-side comparison. Track time-to-first-sequence for one rep using the old workflow and one using the ChatGPT integration. Measure the difference.
If you are evaluating sales tools, add "AI assistant integration" to your requirements list. Any platform without one is building for a workflow that is disappearing.
