What changed

Reddit launched Collection Ads, a new format pairing a lifestyle hero image with shoppable product tiles
Early adopters reporting an 8% lift in ROAS versus standard Reddit ad formats
Reddit's first proper ecommerce-native ad unit

What it means

Reddit has been quietly growing its ad product. Collection Ads give product-based brands a native shopping experience within the feed. Reddit's audience skews toward high-intent research behaviour, which means users encountering these ads are often further down the funnel than on Meta or TikTok.

What to do

If you're an ecommerce brand already testing Reddit ads, trial Collection Ads with your top 5-10 products.
If you haven't tried Reddit, this isn't the trigger to start. The AU Reddit audience is meaningful but still smaller than Meta or Google.
Worth watching, not worth reallocating budget for yet.
